In the right place?

Illinois says broker, not salesperson.

In Illinois, broker is the entry-level real estate license. Managing broker is the higher license for people who manage or supervise others. Illinois does not issue a salesperson or sales associate license, so Pass Illinois uses broker language throughout.

The 2026 exam map

One broker exam. Two separately scored portions.

The national portion tests general real estate principles. The Illinois portion tests state licensing law, related laws, and disclosures. You must meet the passing standard on each portion.

The dated PSI booklet gives 150 minutes for national and 90 minutes for Illinois, or 240 minutes total. PSI's shorter Illinois marketing page says 3.5 hours, so confirm the time in your appointment. PSI may add 5 to 10 unscored questions. If you fail one portion, you repeat only that portion.

A plan for the score you actually need

Your prep should tell you what to do next, not just give you another score.

See where the misses are coming from, work the right questions, and check both portions before you book. The app keeps the plan simple even when the law and math are not.

  1. 01

    Diagnose the gap

Start with the Illinois topics that need the most work.

  2. 02

    Drill what moves points

Short practice loops for math, agency, contracts, and careful question wording.

  3. 03

    Review your practice evidence

Check whether both portions are stable enough to support a scheduling decision.

How it works

From first question to a confident test-day decision.

Find the weak topics, practice the reason behind each answer, and use repeatable results to decide when to schedule.

  1. 01 · DIAGNOSE

    See exactly where you stand

Take a short content check to see which Illinois topics need work before you use a full practice exam.

    • Separate results for topics on both exam portions
    • A clear study-progress result for each topic
    • Ready, Almost there, or Not yet as study guidance, not a prediction
  2. 02 · PRACTICE

Practice the questions that trip you up

Work through 1,339 questions in 7 study modes: Topic Practice, Weak Area Blitz, Mixed Practice, Practice Exam, Quick Review, Trap Library, and Flashcards. Every wrong answer comes with a step-by-step explanation.

    • Written for the Illinois broker exam
    • Interactive Math Coach across 17 real estate math topics
    • Practice with qualifiers, negatives, and scenario wording
  3. 03 · TRACK

    Watch both scores climb

Track the national and Illinois portions separately, so you can see which one still needs work and how each score changes over time.

    • Confidence checks flag answers you felt sure about but missed
    • Spaced review brings stubborn misses back into practice
    • Simple streaks and daily goals
  4. 04 · PASS

Schedule after the practice evidence is stable

Use repeated closed-note results as one scheduling input, then confirm eligibility, identification, and appointment rules with PSI. By test day, you should be able to explain Illinois rules, set up the math, and reject common traps without relying on recognition.

    • Study-progress status based on your recorded work
    • Offline access to questions stored on your device
    • A topic-balance signal across both portions, not a pass prediction

Your study plan

Turn your results into the right next step.

A score alone does not tell you what to do next. Start with the free study tools. A one-time $59.99 unlock adds the full diagnostic, 1,339 Illinois broker questions, Math Coach, wording practice, offline access, and topic tracking.

  • If math is weak, drill formula recognition before doing another full exam.

  • If the state portion is shaky, review Illinois law before taking another mixed quiz.

  • If you failed once, diagnose the pattern before repeating the same study plan.

  • If you feel ready, check your results across both portions before you schedule.
